Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ( COPD) is a group of progressive lung diseases. The most common are emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
Emphysema-Emphysema is a lung condition that causes shortness of breath in which the air sacs in the lungs (alveoli) are damaged.
Chronic bronchitis is inflammation (swelling) and irritation of the bronchial tubes(the airways that carry air to and from the air sacs in lungs)which cause mucus to build up.
