Ingredients:

-150 grams coconut flour

-25 grams cashew powder

-10 grams oat flour

-3 to 4 tsp Xylitol powder

-1 pinch cardamom

-1 pinch nutmeg

-3 to 4 saffron threads

Directions:

Step 1

Peel the skin of apple(s) and puree to a smooth paste. Mix cocout flour, cashew powder and oats flour with the puree and cook on low flame until dry.

Step 2

Keep stiring until the mixture is slightly cool. 

Step 3

Knead well and shape into small pedas with you hands. Top them up with cardamom, nutmeg and saffron threads. Refigerate for somtime before serving.

Health Benefits:

This recipe is a tasty replacement for the store-bought pedhas which are usually high in their sugar content. Xylitol is an excellent natural sweetener and a good sugar substitute. Apples also impart natural sweetness and flavour to the pedhas.
